Advocacy & Organizing


The Advocacy and Organizing workshop series was piloted in the fall of 2009! This seven-session training introduces leaders to core theories and strategies for advocacy and organizing work. Each of the seven sessions takes place in the evening. Please contact Cheng Li (sdc@pbha.org) with any questions.

The Advocacy and Organizing workshop series covers the following topics:

-Introduction to Advocacy and Organizing
-Personal Identity and Leadership
-Base Building and Group Democracy
-Campaign Mapping through Power Analysis
-Action and Escalation
-Action Planning and Media Strategy
-Facilitative Leadership, Critical Analysis and Reflection

Advocacy and Organizing Workshop is not offered in Spring 2012. Please look into Organizing 101 (introduction to core organizing practices) or check check again for more information in the fall!
